Hello, welcome back to Behind the Paddle. We took a wee break. Now we are back. However, just with myself and some special guests along the way. If you are new, I am Porcelain Victoria, also known as Mistress Victoria. Today we have some special guests with us. We are going to talk about electrics, the very nice zappy toys which we can play with, and we will just discuss everything about them, really. Would you like to introduce yourself?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So hi, I'm Rebecca, owner of the Sanctuary of Sun, where everything we sell is in our own toy box first. So we love it and want to share it with other people. And also the co-host of the Uncensored Market in Glasgow, which is on the first of June. Not sure if it's going to be passed or not, but get yourselves to Glasgow if it's getting posted before.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Hello, I am Cameron. I'm here to talk about electrics today. I enjoy it greatly and know an amount about it. I used to do workshops on it, and now I'm going to do a podcast workshop on it, I suppose.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So yeah. This is just gonna be a fun little podcast, just explaining our experience with electrics, where we can buy them, the risks, um, how to use them safely, and just how they can be used and how they can feel on different people. So yeah. Um we are going to start with what type of kit do we have? So me personally, we have um the Electrostem Flux, a 2B, and a violet wand. They are all different, and those are the electric devices that we are gonna discuss today.
unknownSo yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so the Electrostem Flux and the East M2B are classic, they look like tens machines, if anyone's ever used one of them for muscle pains, uh period pains, they're good for that sort of thing. They're the exact same as the £10 one you can buy out of boots, but just way more powerful, and you pay a pretty penny for this. So the Electricem Flux is usually like $270, and you can buy that at places like Uberkinky. Um, the East M2B is about 300 plus, and you can buy that direct from them. They've got a UK store now, and the Violet Wand Um, as well as over 300. You can buy that from Uberkinky, but it's usually out of stock, but you can buy that from the lovely Sanctuary of Sin. Um we'll talk more about them later. Um, so yeah, the Flux and Tubi, as I said, they're basically tennis machines, but way more powerful. We're talking many, many times more powerful. They are strong enough to override your ability to control your muscles and make it unable for you to walk, which is great fun. Um you can make someone's arms do whatever you want, you can do whatever, it's fantastic.
SPEAKER_02It's very, very good in like predicament play.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Very fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, so personally, I am a switch, um, so I can I like to use it in both directions, um, giving and receiving. So all three of these are great for both pleasure and pain. Um, the tens machines can be used for both based on where you put them. Um the violet wand, I wouldn't say you can get direct pleasure out of the violet wand, it just gives you a kind of zappy sensation. Um, on higher levels, people have compared it to like not too dissimilar to a tattoo gun. Yeah, yeah. Um, or like a bee sting or whatnot, but like not quite as sore as that. Whereas on low levels it's it's a very weird sensation to explain. It is just being zapped over and over. Um it's not a direct electrical shock, the way that it works, it's similar to an RF burn, like if you've ever used a walkie-talkie and you've touched the top of it when the antenna's not been on there. Not many people maybe done that, but that's what it is, that's what it feels like to me. Um yeah. Anything to add to that so far?
SPEAKER_02Um, I would say the violet wand in for personal instances and work, it's very fun when the person's blindfolded and they don't know what is coming to them. Then that can be more of a shock.
SPEAKER_01But for some very intimidating.
SPEAKER_02It's yeah, the noise is very intimidating, I would say.
SPEAKER_01Especially the old-fashioned ones, which are mechanical in the way that they work to generate the power, so you can hear them across a room. It's it's like a torture scene out of an old film.
SPEAKER_02Which is good if you want to do interrogation roleplay, really.
SPEAKER_01The modern ones are solid state, so there's no moving parts. So they're way safer for one, um, considerably cheaper, comparatively speaking, um, and way quieter, but they still make a very nice zap sounds.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like the few play parties I've been where someone's had one, like you can hear it across the room, like across everybody's speaking, and like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So yeah, um, when it comes to using all electrical play devices, um, everyone's different. Every people, every person has a different feeling from electrical play. Um, it can be so if you're using the tens machines, like the flux and the 2B, um, they work by putting pads on your skin with those self-adhesive pads, just like the Tens machines. So if you're more hairy, they're going to be less powerful. If you've got um thicker skin or thinner skin, it's gonna feel different. If you're if it's a warm day and you're slightly sweaty, it's gonna be more conductive if you're more if you happen to moisturize that day, it'll be more sensitive because it's gonna be um more conductive, and if it's a drier day, the opposite and whatnot. Um also discovered um through teaching someone who had Aylers Dan Law syndrome that their muscles were more prone, obviously, to being uh, how would you say um like tired. Their muscles get tired very fast. So when they're playing with the flux in the 2B, their muscles wear down quicker. So it goes from a fun, nice sensation to just pain, sadly, quite quickly for those people. Um so everyone's different. You could put the same two settings on the same device on two completely looking the same people, same build and whatnot, and it could feel completely different for each of them. So when playing with electrics, do keep in touch with your person that you're playing with all the time, always be good and communicative and make sure you know each other's safe words from the beginning.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Um I remember my first introduction to I think it was the 2B, and it was the first introduction to electrics I ever had. And I was in a swingers club and the bar staff actually came up to me and he was just like, I've got this um electric kit, do you want to try it? And I was like, sure, go ahead. Um, 18-year-old me, naive. Um, lay I laid down and he put them around my crotch area. And my experience wasn't really that great because he showed me the voice um activated on.
SPEAKER_01Do you want to explain what the barking in the background might be?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're the dogs. They're my dogs.
SPEAKER_01In case people were wondering. They're just they're just playing in the corner. Don't worry about them.
SPEAKER_02They're my lovely dogs, which need to be quiet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so the guy was showing you the the mic um activated machine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, where you can talk into it and the electrics basically go along with the volume of your voice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So the flux has this feature, for example. So the flux, you can either plug in music directly to it so you can be zapped along to the beat of the song, which is quite interesting, or directly from the voice, uh from the microphone input. Um, and some of the I don't I can't remember exactly how flux works. Some of them do it purely based on the volume of your voice, but some of them also use the frequency of your voice to change characteristics of the pulse. Uh, I don't know which one was used on you, so I couldn't comment.
SPEAKER_02I think it was it I'm pretty sure it was the 2B because it was a massive setup he had.
SPEAKER_01The 2B has not got the mic input, interestingly. No.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I wonder what you used on me then.
SPEAKER_01It's got uh input for audio because I think something little interesting.
SPEAKER_02Um I'll probably be able to find the FET message because I messaged him a thing of oh he messaged me a few years later or whatnot. Um, but yeah, he started like yelling into the mic, which was not great at all. And it was from the first experience, like and I I was very foolish being an 18-year-old and being like, yeah, it's okay, it's great, I'm alright. Keep going. Um so I was pretty scarred from that, and I did not want to use electrics again. Yeah, understandable, yeah. And then further on in relationships, um, I had somebody who really liked electrics and used them on um themselves. And I was trustworthy, I trusted them enough for them to use it on me, and so we used it in some lovely like predicament play, and it was quite pleasurable in a sense, it was really, really good. Like it got places where where you put them, so it turned a really bad experience into like a really good one, even though it was painful, but it was good painful because you got like a reward at the end and everything like that, you know. Praise, praise king. Um, yeah, yeah, that's my personal experience. Work would be I use all of these. I think the violet wand is my favourite because of the noise it gives off, how intimidating it can be, um, but how little it can hurt. Um, because you can just be really, really gentle with it to the point where some people have been like, I can't feel that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Thanks, dogs. Um, yeah, yeah, it's great. Based on where you use it, obviously there are more sensitive parts of the body and less sensitive parts. Um, like personally, like I can have the flux in the 2B near enough, like 100%, which is a lot if people haven't used them on my thighs, and I'm like, it's not going to be a fun time, but I could I can stand and whatnot.
SPEAKER_03Is that 100 for the flux? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, so the flux goes from 0 to 99, I think.
SPEAKER_04Um obviously no hold that up that high yet.
SPEAKER_01Uh whereas the 2B goes, I forget the limit, it might be 050 or 0100, but it's got a low power and a high power mode, um, because it can be plugged into the wall, uh, whereas the flux is only battery powered. The the 2B, I don't think I can take up to 100% on my leg um for long. But if I put it on my arm or wink wink, other more sensitive areas, we're only talking like 20s, 30s, maybe 40s at a push. Um, yeah, it's a lot in more sensitive areas.
SPEAKER_02See, I I love the flux because you can just take it around the room, you can walk around with it, yeah, essentially.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so the flux is really nice, small portable, but like an older phone kind of size, not massive. The 2B, it's not it's not too much bigger, it's maybe like five times bigger than the two than the flux, but you can't like put it in a sub's pocket and make them walk around with it all in the laptop kinny size, keep it smaller.
SPEAKER_00Um audio podcast, but I'm not gesturing how big it is.
SPEAKER_01It's like a packet of baby wipes, like a packet of that's actually a really good sign. Yeah, and it can be battery-powered, so you can move around the room with it, you just have to hold it as the top in the scene, um, or like fashion some sort of strap, which straps out though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whereas the flux, totally maneuverable, you can put it in a pocket, make someone go for a walk. It's got motion sensors in it as well. So as they're walking, every single step they're gonna get a zap, something like that. Um and you can plug the flux into a phone via the headphone jack and remotely control it as well, which can lead to global remote play. Like your sub could be down on holiday somewhere, um, and you could still be in control of them and make them feel it absolutely remotely another side of the world. Um and it's really easy to set up. Um there's a website called XToys, um, and it can control things like the flux in the 2B using their audio inputs, um, or it controls other Bluetooth devices at the same time, and you can wire them up so they work at the same time, where it could be a Bluetooth-controlled uh insertable vibrator, and it can control the flux at the same time and do things between them, which is really interesting. Um yeah, and oh, there's so many things that you can do uh if you remote control them. There's people that have there's a wonderful device out there called the Nogasm, um, which is designed um it uses things that go up your butt to detect if you're clenching or not. And based on that it can tell if you're coming close to orgasm, so then it can either zap you with the flux to um stop you or make it worse. Who knows? You can do all sorts of things. It's great. Making it worse is better. All of this could be done potentially remotely with a DOM remotely as well.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. The joys of like Bluetooth and all that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Sometimes it sucks. Sometimes smart devices suck. I will put that out there. I'll get into this later on, but don't use dodgy AliExpress three-pound Bluetooth sex devices. You're gonna have a bad time.
SPEAKER_02There's a lot of trial and error with some devices. I remember you can get like electric chastity devices.
SPEAKER_01I was just gonna tap onto that. Yeah, I know someone that used a Bluetooth wireless chastity device so their partner could unlock them remotely, and then the app stopped working. Yep.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say, can I see any problems happening there? Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Nothing better than being forcibly permanently locked in it into a metal device as well. So you can't even like take something to it to stop them.
SPEAKER_02I remember buying one for a sub and it was like a hundred and something pounds, and it came and it was um a completely like Chinese app, and it was so hard to read and understand, and it was very buggy. Yeah. Like I'm sure at some point somebody will create an electric chassis device which actually works and the app works and everything like that. But still really yet to see that.
SPEAKER_01There are one or two out there that are less bad than the others.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I think there is a I think the one I had was like the electric cellmate, I think it was.
SPEAKER_01The best way to do it is just get an old-fashioned normal cage and then a remote unlocking either padlock or safety deposit box sort of deal. Like the small little money boxes, um, and then lock the key in there and have it remotely.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's really nice and evil though. If like the sub had it, and oh the temptation that the sub has, it's like please, and it's like no, fuck no.
SPEAKER_01Or just get a good enough sub that can hold the key and not use it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, uh no.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, good luck. I didn't say it was gonna be easy, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You trust the sub to some extent, but no no no no no no no no the the DOM controls that that side, um yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, like why we like it was the next topic I had written down. Um as a switch, as I said before, I like it both giving and receiving. Um giving it's I like using it mostly as a predicament sort of thing. Either the motion or the voice-activated inputs, they're very good, they can lead to some wonderful predicament scenes. Um, the voice activated one is great if you're also doing some sort of impact play. As you can imagine, every single time there's an impact, they also get a shock, and based on where you place it, that could be a pleasurable shock or a not so pleasurable shock. Um you can also put the motion activated on so they have to stay still or follow you around the room or they get more shock. Simple as that. Um receiving it, it is also wonderful. Um when placed correctly on more sensitive areas, um, it is essentially like having a built-in vibrator. I find it personally. It is it can get very overwhelming. Um, but it's if used correctly, it is like having a built-in vibrator, and it is just wonderful. Um if goes if it goes too far, you can actually desensitize someone. Uh the sensation does come back eventually, and that is totally not for personal experience here, but you can totally desensitise yourself and go a little bit numb in the areas that you use it if you go too hard for too long, and that is Is it like waving growth? Yeah, exactly. Like that, yeah. It is terrifying.
SPEAKER_02See, I use that in sessions when somebody's getting used to it, that's when I know when to turn it off.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, yeah. If they're not feeling it or they're suddenly like reacting to it, then you turn it up a little bit more. Because you will get used to it and you can easily go up way higher than you think if you just take it gently. The 2B actually has a really great feature where the flux is really easy to input, it's got four buttons power up, power down, mode change, and then some modes have like sub-internot different modes, whereas the 2B's got knobs and buttons and different settings, you can get really really precise with it. It's a little more difficult to use. Yeah, um, but the 2B has got a wonderful feature, I think it's called training mode, where you can put into it the maximum level you want to receive and the minimum level you want to receive. Uh so say like 10 and 30, and it'll give you continuous shocks between those levels, but it's not just gonna go 10, 10, 10, 30, it's gonna go like 10, 13, 15, 20, 15, 20, 21, and slowly jiggle you around to get used to it.
SPEAKER_03It seems like the rolling hills sitting on like the fitness page. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01That's the exact same as that. Yeah, that's that's a really good amount. An analogy actually. Um yeah, it's got a set, it's got the same setting, I forget what it's called, that just dogs are squealing in the background. Excuse me.
SPEAKER_02Do you want to go get that one?
SPEAKER_01Not really. Two moments. Talk amongst yourselves.
SPEAKER_02Um, yes, I have five dogs. Um three of them are small dogs, so they like cuddles and they like to be the centre of attention. Um, going along with the getting used to it, it reminds me that some people can just get used to the feeling of like vibrators and stuff. Uh, it's so sad. It's so sad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when I first so my first vibrator was a Love Honey big wand thing. Yeah, yeah. And those are really rumbly vibrators. Yes. As opposed to fast, like the doxies. And the doc when I first got to use a doxy, oh, it was a different story. But kind of used to that now, actually. They're too fast and vibraty, it's just kind of white finger penis.
SPEAKER_02It's really Can you explain what white finger is please?
SPEAKER_00You're better at explaining it than me, I think. You brought it up.
SPEAKER_03I don't know how to explain this with something really bad. Basically, it's a thing that can happen when you use big machinery or anything that like vibrates, like um whatever that may be. Jack hammer or something like that. Um, where it like basically like jiggles all the nerves and it can make you lose like sensation in your fingers and make them go white, hence the name.
SPEAKER_00And then you take that to a vibrator that's going too fast, you get a white penis.
SPEAKER_01Um, so when when I'm playing personally, Alexander. I'm gonna go right over that tangent. Yeah, it's nice to go between the really, really fast stuff and the rumbler ones to have some change, and it's the exact same with electrics. It's nice to pull someone back down to the lower levels so that you can then take them higher again and it feels different. Um yeah. Yeah, up until last night I had only tried the flux out on my arm because it's it's also really terrifying to intentionally electrocute any part of yourself, let alone your most sensitive areas.
SPEAKER_03Well, I had the shot of that last night. Oh nice, which was interesting. I find it bizarre how different the sensations are on different parts of your body. Yeah. Like I thought it was just gonna feel the same, like everywhere, and just like more intense, but it actually totally changes the sensation as well. Like, yeah, I thought I'd be brave since I was coming on and speaking about this today. Well done, well done. 14, I was quite happy.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's actually yeah, so like it's it's a very small sensitive area.
SPEAKER_01Like 14 is a lot compared to putting it on like um your a thigh, for example. It's so different. Um yeah, I didn't actually mention as well. There is I I mentioned just the pads, and I'm assuming it was just the pads that you used. Yeah, um, there are also insertibles that you can use so that one side of the nice, so that one side of the circuit is inside of you, um, the other side of the circuit could also be inside of you via a different hole.
SPEAKER_03Um I don't think I'm feeling that brave next week on the podcast.
SPEAKER_01No, it's there there are many ways, many different ways to use it. Uh, and I guess that's next, unless you want to talk about why you like it. Or like how you use it, I should say.
SPEAKER_02Well, me personally, I just use the pads. Yeah. Um, some of the electrics, even though I have bought them from ElectroStim, they're just way too powerful, even on the lowest level for me, like the nipple clamps or a pin wheel. Um, they they all give a different sort of not necessarily shock, but just changes the different methods of how executing it basically. Um work-wise, because I have a lot of experience with that, more so than personal, if I'm honest. Uh insertibles are great, absolutely lovely. Um, sorry, were we gonna go on to the risks?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I'll get onto the risks shortly.
SPEAKER_02Um insertibles are great, they're lovely. Don't buy from like China or AliExpress or anything like that. Try and buy from me. Yeah, yeah. Try and buy from people who have uh reputable businesses and businesses that are actually trustworthy, and you can trust that it does come from it is safe basically. They're not I I wouldn't are they checked by professionals on electric levels? So kind of.
SPEAKER_01Um in the UK we have the UK CA mark, which is to certify that it is a safe electrical device to be used. I don't know to what extent that actually verifies these things. Um usually it's more important when it comes to mains power order devices, because that can go very wrong. Um you can get CE marks in Europe and I forget what they call it um across the water. Um I can think it's a kite mark, but no no, the kite the kite mark is a trademark mark, I think, in the UK. Uh-huh. But I forget off the top of my head. Um yeah, sadly, it's also not too difficult to just put that mark on your device as well. And if it's selling in places like AliExpress or Taubau, that's the other one.
SPEAKER_02Taubau.
SPEAKER_01Taubau, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I thought it was Timu.
SPEAKER_01That's that's another one. Oh I I'm more versed in buying from China, I would have said Taubau is an another place like AliExpress, but it only ships to Chinese addresses. So you have to go to yet another company who will ship it from China to you when it arrives.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's a lot of effort though, mate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's cheaper than AliExpress.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Ignore him because he's just told you how to do it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's do as I say, not as I do. Um yeah, don't do that. It's you're gonna end up on a device that it might work, it might feel good, it might actually be perfect, but it might not be. So for example, the East M2B, really well-known company within this space, the 2B, the two channels on it are isolated from each other. So you could totally safely, I wouldn't do it, but you could totally safely have one channel across one nipple and have the other separate channel across another nipple, and that would be totally safe because the current is only going to run from the two pads on each nipple to the other pad in the same channel, so the the current will be going directly across the nipple. Whereas on a device that has unisolated channels, there is a chance that the current could run from one nipple to the other, and therefore right across your chest, potentially through your heart, that's not it's not gonna end very well. Um so the 2B, which costs like 300 plus, has these wonderful, totally safe, isolated channels. You can do that sort of thing and not worry. Whereas the Flux, even though it's a really good device, doesn't actually have that because it's smaller, you have to save space somewhere. These even cheaper devices from I don't want to keep saying China, but like places like AliExpress, they are most likely not going to have these nice safety features and could very easily end up in a sad time for everyone involved. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the one electric thing that I bought for AliExpress, which was years ago, um actually shocked you through the handle. Oh no. Because it was all made of metal. Oh. So, like rather than it just being like the top of the implement, it was actually running through the full thing and like through the buttons and stuff, and it freaks me out like that. Not worth it. No, thank you.
SPEAKER_02That reminds me about the violet wand. You can have the attachment which you can attach to yourself. Um I haven't used it in a while.
SPEAKER_01So this this is one of my favourite ways of using the violet wand, actually. Um so with the violet wand, you've got all the different glass attachments. There's a comb attachment, you can actually totally safely use that and comb someone's hair with it because it's not actually an electric shock, as I said earlier. So it is totally safe asterisk. Um just always be careful. Someone could have like arrhythmias or something, and even though it's not an electric shock, it could still cause them to have like palpitations or something out of excitement. It's you're never a hundred percent safe no matter what.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, BDSM just in general, you're just yeah, never a hundred percent safe, and you have to take that risk. Yeah, and you have to understand what you're doing could end not so well, even if you are a pro or been doing it many, many years in lifestyle, it can still fuck up.
SPEAKER_01Just like anything, there's factors you kind of control, and that's exactly and that that's why like one of the acronyms that people use in KINK is RAC RACK, risk aware consensual kink. Um, just always be aware that anything can go wrong. Even if you've been doing this for years and years, and your uh play partner's been doing this for years and years, and you're using some highly rated, totally safe rated toys, anything can go wrong. It takes seconds for a pad to be put in the wrong place because you just weren't paying full attention or the wrong setting, or someone accidentally just puts it to a hundred for whatever reason, it can go wrong at an instant.
SPEAKER_02Like when you are doing inserts with toys with electrics, d when it's on, do not pull it fully out. You the recipient on the other end will get a massive electric shock and it will fucking hurt. It will not be nice in any way. So you really, really have to be careful with that when you are taking out a toy which has been inserted.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and make sure it's set to zero on the power. Well, you turn it off. If you want to go that extra step, just turn it off. These devices are modern, they turn off and on in instance. It's just be safe. Um it I've not had uh insertible toy taken out of me when it's turned on, but I've had pads taken off when they were turned on, and ouch, it's gonna ask for the same. Yeah, exactly the same.
SPEAKER_02Um except insertables happen to be in more sensitive areas, um absolutely kills the mood and it's oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01That that's the thing, other than just hurting and not being fun, it's gonna ruin the session.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, subspace gone, or whatever space you're into if you're a kinkster.
SPEAKER_01It's just gonna put a downer on it completely.
SPEAKER_02Literally, it's gone.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, that that was a hell of a tangent.
SPEAKER_02Um why does um do you get an electric shock?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh the the electric jumps. It jumps, it arcs. It's you're not gonna see a zap or anything, but it's gonna want the the current wants to do its best to go from one tab to the other, one pad to another, um, no matter where it is. And if it's constantly running as you slowly pull it off, it's going to continue to try to complete that circuit. And air is a fantastic insulator, but over like the millimeter, like sub-millimeter space between the pad and your skin as you take it off, it will be conductive for that like millisecond that it's really, really close, and it's just gonna hurt because as it tries to jump, um it you'll the it'll be a higher resistance, so the it'll be it'll end up being warmer, current, volta, all that different thing. I could actually get in depth with it and write it down, but it's it's just gonna hurt at the end of the day. That's all people need to know. It's not gonna be good.
SPEAKER_02It's not safe.
SPEAKER_01Um I do not claim to be an electrical engineer. Um I d I have a background in electronics, but enough to know to play 100% safely for the most part, asterisk. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, um, that's how and where to use it. Um just put it the best place to use it is find a muscle that can include muscles in a penis or a vagina, wherever you fancy, and then put one pad on one side, one pad on the other side of the muscle, and you're now making the muscle move without touching it or moving it yourself. It's as simple as that. Um try not to put the pads closer than a couple inches to each other. It's not really gonna do any damage. These tools are modern, they know if it's likely to short circuit, and they'll just not work, um, but still don't do it. Um they can totally be used along with instead of pads, you can get like metal cock rings, things like that, or insertables as mentioned before, and you can absolutely have a hands-free orgasm with one, or give one, um, or use it as a predicament, as we said.
SPEAKER_03The best thing I've seen with the pads was at one of your workshops when you made that guy's ass cheeks clap. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, like as I as I said, you can make someone's legs not work because you're overriding the electrical signals that their brain is sending to the muscle by just physically causing the muscles to contract and release. This works with any muscle. The ass is a muscle. Um, I was doing a physical workshop and full consent was given. This guy was like, Can I feel it on my ass cheeks? And I was like, Absolutely. So I had the flux, which is the less powerful device, but still really powerful at the end of the day. I had one channel on one ass cheek, one channel on the other ass cheek. Um, and I managed to literally make the man's ass clap by turning up and down the power, and it was a wonderful. And then the this gentleman was a bit of a giggler as well, so I decided that was a good time to use the voice-activated settings. And uh the dude's a um bit of a pain sob, it would appear. He really enjoyed it because it was good, it would also hurt, but in quite a nice way. He would just keep giggling, try to not giggle, think about it, giggle some more.
SPEAKER_03We were all giggling.
SPEAKER_01The people in the room were giggling, it was it was great. Um, we also did this to someone's arm, and we're making them like jerk off in the air with their hand essentially, um, do salutes unwillingly, given uh just putting power on at the right time. It's a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun. I I almost had someone pulling peace signals with their fingers because I put it in the right place on their wrist one time. Yeah, you can you can have a lot of fun. So that's what to do. Let's speak about what not to do. Um so specifically, I'd say like, don't buy from China, the tools could go wrong, they could break. Um yeah, so the stuff from China, yeah, it's things can go wrong with it. So buy it from reputable places, like Sanctuary of Synth. Um just buy it from good places and buy good kit. Sadly, it's expensive, but when it comes to stuff that is literally electrocuting you, pay someone pay someone good money for it to be challenging.
SPEAKER_02Good quality.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, so standard tips with electrical play, don't put it across your heart. Um, that includes playing with, as I said, devices that have unisolated channels. If you're playing with a device with unisolated channels, do not have one channel above the waist and one channel below, because that means above your chest, sorry, because that means that the current could potentially run through your chest and sadness. Um we actu accidentally tangented away from it. Um the violet wand has a pad that makes you electrified.
SPEAKER_02Oh yes, yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_01And if you are using that, make sure you do not ground yourself out to any metal object where the path could go through your chest. I have done this once by accident. I freaked out, it was terrifying. Thankfully, it went up the right hand side of my body, so it wouldn't have crossed my heart, but you make these mistakes once and it's that's all you need to be scared away to be safer the next time.
SPEAKER_03What do you mean by ground yourself out? So is that like touching something?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so touching anything metal, the electrical current that is in you is going to want to escape somewhere to ground just.
SPEAKER_03If you like touch it with your hand, then it's like running like if you've got it on your hip or something. Precisely, yeah. Yeah, like you can tap metal like we have thought and you'll get a shot and stuff. Does that work?
SPEAKER_01So if you're touching a person, they're now electrified too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but is that not making the current run up through your heart and down your arms?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Why is that fine?
SPEAKER_01Don't do that.
SPEAKER_03Don't do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, don't do that. Right, okay. If you are to do that, put the the pad from the violet wand on your right leg, or I put it on my leg because I've got big thighs, so it's a nice contact area, and then touch that person with your right hand. So that you're going up and avoidance. Avoid the heart. Preferably to their right hand, so that if they it stays away from their heart as well. Yeah. And then make sure that they don't do anything with their left hand, otherwise it'll go straight across their chest.
SPEAKER_02Cool. Yeah. The pad needs to be properly securely on you as well. Yes. Um, I have uh stupidly put it on my chest before and felt uh yeah, yeah, it's not it's not good. It's not wise to put it on your chest. The pad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like thankfully, like even if you do do these silly things, you will chances are you will still be safe, even if it does go all the way across your head.
SPEAKER_02I know, mate. I felt it.
SPEAKER_01She's still here with us.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's not good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, don't do that, please. Also, if you are pregnant, please do not play with electrics at all. Not even just on your arm. It is not a wise idea. Um personally, I just stay below the waist at all times with it. It is easier, it is safer, there's way less things to worry about. The pieces of meat, if you will, below the waist tend to be thicker and more muscle, so it's going to be way harder to accidentally do damage as well. Like on an arm, if you put it really high, even on people with bigger arms, you are going to cause muscle spasms way too easily. Whereas on the thigh, as I said personally, I can take it almost at full power on my thighs, and I'm only just uncomfortable with it.
SPEAKER_03Um yeah, so I think Rebecca's got a story from Yeah, so we um were down at a market in Bristol, and we had taken some violet ones with us because we've got some in the shop, so we're like, oh, we'll maybe do like a little mini like workshop, or just show people them and kind of answer any questions that people have got. But when we arrived, there was a guy there that was already doing a workshop, so we're like, oh, we're feeling a wee bit put out. We're like, look, we'll go over and we'll see what the chat is, make sure he's doing it properly, not as salty or anything. Um, and he was pretty much saying the opposite of everything. Like I was human because I was there as well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm mad I was not there. I was not there for this sadly.
SPEAKER_02I was like, what did he just say?
SPEAKER_03Where was he doing shocks above the chest? Mostly like the bit that bothered me was it kept shocking this guy's ear, which obviously, like brain electrical signals, like I would just avoid the head, just generally. Like, it does not seem like a good time. I mean, electro shock therapy really should teach us something, was just an idea you want to avoid, but it just kept shocking this guy's ear, and the guy was not enjoying it, and it was like, Yeah, most people don't like this. It's like why do you keep doing it? Yeah, but um, yeah, he was advising people to buy everything from AliExpress, and yeah, it just was not good. We would have done a better job. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02It's like there was no structure to what exactly he was telling people. Yep. And it was a bit all over the place, and he wasn't just saying the facts, basically, about how dangerous it was.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I feel like if you're gonna do that, that's like the one thing you need to say. Like safety. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Whereas, watch me beat up this guy with electrics. It was No more.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That's that sucks. It's it's sad to see people just go and buy a toy in general, not necessarily even electrical toys, go and buy a toy and then not look up how to use it. Yeah. Like I've seen people go in and buying like whips and single tails and then using them on their partner, and now they've got permanent scars for the rest of their life because they didn't realise that would happen. It's like just any toy. There's a lot of porn out there. And I'm not saying porn is the best place to learn what to do, but it gives you an idea.
SPEAKER_02It gives you an idea of what predicaments and what scenes you can do. Absolutely. That's great. And you can you can learn about how the people are using it, um, and in what positions. Like there are tons of workshops out there, ones for free, even. Like this one. Yeah, exactly. Hello.
SPEAKER_01There's there's lots of good communities online as well, like Discord, Reddit, all of that. You will find people that will happily tell you you are being an idiot, don't do it that way. And then tell you the right way to do it.
SPEAKER_04Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01For electrical stuff, though, to circle back. Um, I forget the name of their community exactly, but I think it's like Joanne's Eastem Forum or something along those lines.
SPEAKER_02Um I recently recommended her.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, based on my recommendation, it's it's wonderful. It's the place to go, she knows a lot. Um on her website, for example, there's pad placement guides on where to use it based on whatever body type you have.
SPEAKER_02A Twitter and a fet Joanne's reviews.
SPEAKER_01Joanne's reviews, that's it, yeah. And there's a Discord as well.
SPEAKER_02Her own Discord East M stuff as well, which I do need to get my hands on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, I think that's pretty much it for us, honestly. Um yeah. As previously mentioned, um, you can buy some kit like the Violet One from Sanctuary of Sin if you want to quickly mention yourself again.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Um, so there's also a wee discount code for if you're listening to the podcast for uh it's called Behind the Paddle. Um I'll get you a 10% discount on our site, which is www.thesanctuaryofsin.com. Um, we're also on like FetLife and Insta and stuff, you want to check us out.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, cheers. Um we will have blogs up at some point um talking about what the podcast was about and what we discussed and just how to be safe and everything else what we've discussed in this podcast, really. Um, I hope you have enjoyed this podcast. I hope you've enjoyed hearing my dogs. As you can tell, this is not the dungeon anymore. Um, all my stuff will be from my new location with my dogs. Um, and I think that's probably about it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Thanks for listening. And yeah, hopefully people can take this and go further.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, tune in next week. Bye. Bye. Bye.
